An historical geographer by background and originally working on the forestry sector after moving to Massey in the 1980s I refocussed somewhat on farming sector. From the mid -1980s involved in working collaboratively on agricultural restructuring in New Zealand on commodity chain analysis, particularly for meat and pip fruit, on pluiractivity, on pip fruit and sustainable production, on food regimes and productivist and post productivist landscapes. Most recently part of the Biological Economies Marsden project. Unlike the vast majority of the agrifood network my default setting will take me back to the past.
