This session aims to explore the role and implications of food charity in urban and regional planning, addressing key questions such as:
- What are the essential characteristics of food charity initiatives?
- Who are the key stakeholders, and what relationships develop among them?
- What role do local governments play in promoting these initiatives?
- Will the experiences born during the Covid-19 emergency have a lasting impact?
- What implications do these initiatives have for food chain planning at the urban level and for urban-rural relationships?
- What are the most exemplary case studies at the international level?
Accepted short contributions will be published in a monograph edited by Springer.
