About Us

The Australasian Agri-Food Research Network is an open network of largely Australasian-based researchers interested in food, agriculture and the rural sector. Since its inception in 1992 it has convened regular annual research conferences and facilitated the publication of research for the purposes of:

  • Promoting innovative disciplinary- and interdisciplinary-based research on agri-food issues
  • Encouraging debate, information exchange and collaboration between researchers based in universities and other organisations
  • Providing a site for nurturing post-graduate students and early-career academics studying agri-food issues
  • Engaging with policy-makers and agri-food professionals.
