Job Opportunity: Two positions at the Cawthron Institute, Aotearoa New Zealand

The social science team at Cawthron (NZ) are hiring for two environmental social scientists – position two in particular will be of interest to our network.

These full-time, permanent roles will be based in Whakatū/Nelson at the Cawthron Institute, New Zealand’s largest independent research organization. Both roles have flexibility to build research portfolios of interest to the researchers, with each position also having a starting project or strategic focal area.

  • Position 1 includes a 3-year project working with Iwi partners on values-based aquaculture development in the open ocean
  • Position 2 includes a focus on supporting Pacific communities work through issues of food security, climate change adaptation, and livelihood sustainability
